PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-88-21 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR CASE <br />GP-88-1, APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO AMEND <br />THE HOUSING ELEMENT <br />WHEREAS, the City of applied to amend the Housing Element of the <br />General Plan to limit the total number of housing units <br />which can be given Growth Management approval to a <br />maximum of 1,000 per year and to exempt housing projects <br />of 5 units or less from the 1,000 unit annual limit; and <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of February 24, 1988, the Planning <br />Commission received a proposed negative declaration for <br />Case GP-88-1; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the <br />Initial Study dated February 18, 1988 and received the <br />recommendations of the staff; and <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held February 24, 1988 <br />at which time the public was given the opportunity to <br />comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed <br />General Plan amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential <br />impacts in accordance with the applicable state and <br />local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the proposed would <br />not have any significant adverse effects on the <br />environment: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: Recommends approval of the Negative Declaration <br />prepared for Case GP-88-1. <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />- 1 - <br />
