PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-88-22 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING DENIAL OF CASE GP-88-1, <br />APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO AMEND THE <br />HOUSING ELEMENT <br />WHEREAS, the City of applied to amend the Housing Element of the <br />General Plan to limit the total number of housing units <br />which can be given Growth Management approval to a <br />maximum of 1,000 per year and to exempt housing projects <br />of 5 units or less from the 1,000 unit annual limit; and <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of February 24, 1988, the Planning <br />Commission recommended approval of the proposed negative <br />declaration for Case GP-88-1 after considering all <br />public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations <br />of the City staff concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did not support changing the <br />General Plan and recommended that the City Council adopt <br />the Commission's original recommendation to maintain the <br />previous growth management allocation of between 260 and <br />650 housing units per year with various exemptions up to <br />a maximum of 1,000 units per year, based on a periodic <br />review of infrastructure and other considerations <br />affecting residential growth. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: Recommends denial Case GP-88-1, application of the <br />City of Pleasanton to amend the Housing Element of the <br />General Plan. <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />- 1 - <br />
