CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-164 <br /> <br /> APPROVAL OF CITY PARTICIPATION IN THE ABAG HOUSEHOLD <br /> HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION PROGRAM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in December, 1986, the City Council indicated its intent <br /> to participate in the ABAG Household Hazardous Waste <br /> Collection Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Chief presented a report to the Council <br /> indicating the program is nearing implementation and <br /> outlining more details and proposed costs; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Council approves City participation in the ABAG <br /> Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program, provided <br /> that both Dublin and Livermore agree to participate. If <br /> either Dublin or Livermore back out for any reason, then <br /> the City should also reconsider participation in the <br /> program. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes the City Manager to execute the contract <br /> with ABAG for Pleasanton to participate in the Area 5 <br /> pickup day. <br /> <br />Section 3: Amends the current budget to allow payment of the <br /> estimated $7,200.00 for Pleasanton's share of the <br /> program. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED APRIL 21, 1987 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None ~/~~j~ <br />ATTEST: <br /> K~NNETH hi MERCER, MAYOR <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />Peter D.'
