MINUTES <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />March 4, 2008 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Hosterman called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Councilmember Cook-Kallio led the <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Introductory Comments <br />Councilmember Cook-Kallio gave the following introductory comments: The City co-hosted the <br />8"' Annual Youth in Government Day along with the Pleasanton Unified School District, where <br />45 Pleasanton high school students participated and had the opportunity to job shadow elected <br />City Council, School Board members, and key staff; the City's Civic Arts' teen improvisation <br />troupe, Creatures of Impulse, will perform on Thursday and Friday, March 13 and 14; Call 2-1-1 <br />to find out free information about housing, health or social services in the Tri-Valley Region; and <br />The Cities of Dublin, Livermore, San Ramon and Pleasanton have joined with the East Bay <br />Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to develop a curriculum of seminars targeting <br />entrepreneurs and small to mid-sized businesses. The classes are free for businesses and/or <br />residents of the four Tri-Valley cities. <br />Roll Call <br />Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Absent: None <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS: Mayor Hosterman indicated Item 13 relates to the Oak Grove <br />development and the City is awaiting a final ruling by the Judge which had not been received; <br />therefore, the item was being removed from the agenda. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Administrative Services <br />1. Approved regular meeting minutes of February 19, 2008 <br />Finance <br />2. Accepted the monthly disbursements and investment report for January 2008 <br />3. Accepted Second Quarter Financial Status Report for fiscal year 2007-08 (Operating <br />Budget) <br />Parks and Community Services <br />4. Approved and authorized the City Manager to execute aShort-Term Grazing Lease for <br />103 Acres of Open Space by the Golf Course with AI Spotorno to comply with the Grazing <br />& Resource Management Plan <br />Plannin <br />5. Accepted actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission <br />
