MINUTES <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />February 19, 2008 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Hosterman called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by <br />members of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 6298. <br />Introductory Comments <br />Councilmember Thorne gave the following introductory comments: The Library presents the <br />YORE! Turkish Folk Ensemble Group on Saturday, February 23; the City Council is currently <br />recruiting to fill vacancies for various committees/commissionn. <br />Councilmember Thorne introduced and recognized Erik Benson, Darren Graham, and George <br />Georgatos, members of the armed forces, who have served in one of the current war zones, <br />and thanked them for their distinguished service. Councilmember Thorne offered a moment of <br />silence for those who have lost their lives serving our country. <br />Roll Call <br />Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Absent: None <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br />City Manager Fialho said Item 2 relates to Development Impact Fees and the Resolution which <br />speaks to the affordable housing fees being dispersed in the future. He requested amendment <br />of the Resolution to state, "...subject to future Council review and consideration," meaning that <br />any expenditure of funds would be subject to the Council's review and consideration in a public <br />session. <br />Closed Session <br />Conference with Labor Negotiators pursuant to Government Code §54957.6: <br />Agency representatives: Nelson Fialho and Julie Yuan-Miu <br />Employee organization: Pleasanton Police Officers Association <br />Conference with Legal Counsel -Existing Litigation, pursuant to Government Code <br />Jennifer Lin and Frederic Lin, Petitioners and Plaintiffs v. City Clerk of the City of <br />Pleasanton, et al, Respondents and Defendants and Kay Ayala, et al, Real Parties in <br />Interest and Defendants. County of Alameda, Case No. RG07361370 <br />City Attorney Roush said the Council met in Closed Session at 6:00 p.m. and there was no <br />reportable action taken. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Administrative Services <br />Approved regular and special meeting minutes of February 5, 2008 <br />
