MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br />15. Public Comment <br />Julia Bussinger introduced herself as the new Executive Director of Amador Valley Historical <br />Society and Museum on Main Street, spoke of interpretive educational programming, lecture <br />series and outreach programs. Her hope is to transform the museum into a collaborative effort <br />for access to a comprehensive continuum of history, environment, science and education <br />oriented programs. <br />Kristine Gialdini said on January 21St two loose dogs viciously mauled and killed her cat. The <br />dogs were sent to the animal shelter and the owner fined. Again, on February 1St, the same two <br />dogs and a third one again broke out of the owner's yard and all were taken to the shelter and <br />the owner fined again. <br />Fred Norman spoke of the presence of articles regarding efforts to support the war but no <br />articles about the troops killed. He said 54 American troops had been killed since the December <br />Council meeting and 24 since the last meeting and asked the Council and everyone to do <br />something to end the war. <br />Greg O'Connor voiced concerns with Animal Control and police policies, said dogs are being <br />allowed to run loose, spoke of people and his daughter being chased and bitten, and the same <br />vicious dogs are allowed to return to their neighborhood with no options available to <br />homeowners. <br />Chantelle MacKenzie said she and her family do not have the freedom to do anything on her <br />street due to vicious dogs, she is frightened, and asked that the vicious dog ordinance be <br />amended. <br />Matthew DiSabatino voiced concern about election polling places, posting requirements, street <br />name changes and the legitimacy and constraints of the voting process. <br />Nancy Storch said Friends of Shadow Cliffs have formed to participate with EBRPD in upcoming <br />planning processes for the area designed for California Splash. She spoke of their work to <br />rezone the property and locate an appropriate use for the site. <br />Shelley Doljack said City's website lists polling places, each address has a link to Yahoo maps, <br />and 100 Valley Avenue address does not exist. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br />16. Public Hearing: PUD-64, 4238 First Street, LLC -Consider an application for Planned <br />Unit Development rezoning and development plan approval to rezone an existing 13,161- <br />square-foot parcel from RM-2, 500 (Multiple-Family Residential) District to PUD-HDR <br />(Planned Unit Development -High Density Residential) District to renovate the existing <br />home and to construct four detached single-family units ranging from 1,713 square feet to <br />1,919 square feet at the property located at 4238 First Street <br />Director of Planning and Community Development Jerry Iserson gave the staff report, described <br />the application request, its location and surrounding development, current zoning, building <br />traditional design and sizes of the homes, parking, the project's compliance with design <br />guidelines, support by the Downtown Association and the Pleasanton Heritage Association, and <br />City Council Minutes 3 February 5, 2008 <br />
