CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-140 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. <br /> 87-01 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 87-106, a public hearing was called <br /> for April 7, 1987, at the hour of 8:00 p.m. in the <br /> Council Chambers, Pleasanton, California, to ascertain <br /> whether the public necessity, health, safety, or welfare <br /> requires the removal of poles, overhead wires and <br /> associated overhead structures, and the underground <br /> installation of wires and facilities for supplying <br /> electric communication, or similar or associated <br /> service, within that certain area of the City described <br /> as the west side of Valley Avenue between Quarry Lane <br /> and Stanley Boulevard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, notice of such hearing has been given to all affected <br /> property owners as shown on the last equalized <br /> assessment roll and utilities concerned in the manner <br /> and for the time required by law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such hearing has been duly and regularly held, and all <br /> persons interested have been given an opportunity to be <br /> heard; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council of the City of Pleasanton hereby <br /> finds and determines that the public necessity, health, <br /> safety and welfare required the removal of poles, <br /> overhead wires and associated structures, and the <br /> underground installation of wires and facilities for <br /> supplying electric, communication, or similar or <br /> associated service on the west side of Valley Avenue <br /> between Quarry Lane and Stanley Boulevard, such <br /> described area is hereby established as Underground <br /> Utility District No. 87-01. Attached hereto, marked <br /> "Exhibit A," and hereby incorporated as part of this <br /> resolution, is a map delineating the boundaries of said <br /> District. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Council of the City of Pleasanton hereby <br /> makes the further findings with regard to Underground <br /> Utility District No. 87-01: <br /> <br /> 1. The undergrounding to be accomplished pursuant to <br /> this resolution will avoid or eliminate an <br /> unusually heavy concentration of overhead <br /> distribution facilities. <br /> <br /> <br />
