RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br />AUTHORIZING THE TRAFFIC ENGINEER TO INSTALL STOP SIGNS WHEN <br />WARRANTED <br />WHEREAS, on April 12, 1976, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 76-79 (a <br />Resolution Establishing Traffic Regulations for City Streets); and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended Resolution No. 76-79; and <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of February 19, 2008, the City Council received a report from <br />the Director of Public Works requesting authorization for the traffic engineer to install stop signs <br />when warranted. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br />SECTION 1. City Council authorizes the traffic engineer to install stop signs:. at <br />locations that meet guidelines and warrants identified in the California Manual of Uniform Traffic <br />Control Devices. <br />SECTION 2. City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and enter. it into <br />the book of original resolutions. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br />a regular meeting held on February 19, 2008. <br />I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br />resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 19`h day of <br />February, 2008 by the following vote: <br />Ayes: <br />Noes: <br />Absent: <br />Abstain: <br />Karen Diaz, City Clerk <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />Michael H.
