COUNCIL REPORTS <br />Councilmember McGovern reported a vote was taken at LAVTA concerning the Bus Rapid <br />Transit. <br />Mayor Hosterman reported on attending the U.S. Conference of Mayors in Washington, D.C. <br />and is extremely pleased that due to their efforts, they were able to get Congress to support and <br />move to the President the addition of CDBG energy monies for individual communities. In <br />addition, the Tri-Valley mayors spent time lobbying for additional monies for the Tri-Valley <br />Housing Opportunities Center program, another $10 million for I-580 eastbound HOV/HOT lane, <br />and for additional $3 million for the East Bay Regional Communication System. <br />Councilmember Thorne asked that in the future the Council discuss upcoming ballot <br />propositions. <br />City Manager Fialho said staff will bring a report on the Federal agenda, State Initiatives, <br />Propositions and introduced legislation. <br />ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:05 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Karen Diaz <br />City Clerk <br />City Council Minutes 10 February 5, 2008 <br />
