CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-128 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION DECLARING THE CITY'S INTENT TO PARTICIPATE IN <br /> THE REGIONAL CAL-ID SYSTEM AND HAKE A COMMITMENT TO <br /> SHARE FINANCIALLY IN THE SYSTEM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Senate Bill 190 (Chapter 1234, Statutes of 1985) <br /> established the CAL-ID/RAN (Remote Access Network) <br /> System to identify criminal suspects from latent or <br /> inked fingerprints; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the CAL-ID System will not be available for the benefit <br /> of the citizens of Pleasanton, to promote public safety <br /> and solve crimes, unless the City participates <br /> financially; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: The City of Pleasanton will contribute the amount <br /> necessary to ensure the City's participation in the <br /> CAL-ID/RAN System. The necessary funds for 1987/88 will <br /> be approximately $43,781. <br /> <br /> Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED APRIL 7, 1987 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAIN: None ~~~ <br /> ATTEST: /4/ <br /> KEN4qET~ R.
