CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-127 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING TRANSFER OF CONTROL OF PLEASANTON'S <br /> CABLE TELEVISION FRANCHISE FROM VIACOM CABLEVISION TO <br /> NATIONAL AMUSEMENTS, INC. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Tele-Vue Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of <br /> Viacom International Inc. ("Viacom"), is franchised to <br /> provide cable television service in Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Viacom has entered into a merger agreement with a <br /> subsidiary of National Amusements, Inc., as fully <br /> explained in a letter dated March 13, 1987; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Tele-Vue Systems, Inc. has agreed to continue to be <br /> bound by all applicable cable television franchise terms <br /> and conditions; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City of Pleasanton hereby grants its approval to <br /> permit the transfer of control of Viacom to National <br /> Amusements as set forth in the letter dated March 13, <br /> 1987, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br /> incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED APRIL 7, 1987 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None ~/~ <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />Peterv b j MacDona ' ~ C it} 'A~ae~y <br /> <br /> <br />
