Introduced Ordinance No. 1968 adopting Chapter 1.22 of the Municipal Code establishing a <br />Voluntary Expenditure Limit for Candidates for Council and Mayor at $1 for each registered <br />voter. Motion passed by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />Introduced Ordinance No. 1969 amending Chapter 1.20 and adding provisions to Chapter 1.22 <br />of the Municipal Code regarding Campaign Statements, requiring cumulation of expenditures, <br />and establishing time period for cumulation pursuant to the voluntary Campaign Expenditure <br />Limit. Motion passed by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Noes: Councilmembers McGovern, Sullivan <br />Absent: None <br />21. Removed from the agenda as previously noted -Receive the City Clerk's Certification <br />of the Referendum Petition with respect to Ordinance No. 1961 approving the application <br />of James Tong, Charter Properties (Oak Grove Development) for PUD plan approval, as <br />filed under Case PUD-33 <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL: None <br />COUNCIL REPORTS <br />Councilmember Thorne said he attended a round table discussion with Senator Boxer to <br />discuss the financial situation relating to mortgages and foreclosures.
