ATTACHMENT 1 <br />January 18, 2008 <br />IVTelson Fialho <br />City of Pleasanton <br />PO Box 520 <br />Pleasanton, CA 94566 <br />RE: Pleasanton Gateway Project <br />Dear Mr. Fialho: <br />Thank you for meeting with us on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 to discuss the <br />Pleasanton Gateway project at the southeast corner of Stanley/Bernal/Valley. We <br />appreciate your time. <br />As we discussed, the City Council approved the Conditional Use Permit, Design Review <br />and the Planned Unit Development Major Modification for the Project on May 15, 2007. <br />Since that time, the City has continued the City Council's second reading of the ordinance <br />approving the Planned Unit Development Major Modification for a number of months. <br />The second reading is now scheduled for February 5, 2008. <br />Nelson, with this letter, we request that the City table the second reading to an <br />indeterminate time to allow Regency sufficient time to re-evaluate the project in response <br />to the comments received from the community, City staff and City decision-makers. We <br />also request that the City allow us to amend the original project application to make <br />appropriate modifications in response to those comments.
