Exhibit B <br />SOLAR CITIES PROGRAM <br />STARTER KIT <br />PROPOSED CONTENT <br />• A checklist will be developed for the homeowner to keep track of the <br />important steps in the process, dates when certain activities have been <br />completed, etc. <br />• Educational material on how PV systems work (from PGE and other <br />websites) <br />http://www.pge.com/res/rebates/energy tools resources/ <br />• A brief summary of available state incentives and federal tax credits, along <br />with websites to allow homeowners to better educate themselves, and to <br />calculate energy savings, return on investment, increase to property <br />values etc. <br />http://www.findsolar.co~ndex.php?page=rightforme <br />• A simple self-evaluation form will be developed to determine the home's <br />potential for PV installation for the homeowner to complete. <br />• Document outlining requirements met by photovoltaic contractors to be <br />listed as part of the Solar Cities Program <br />1. Verification of appropriate and valid contractors' license <br />2. Proof of workers compensation and other insurance on file <br />3. Pleasanton business license <br />4. Good standing with regulatory boards and the Better Business <br />Bureau <br />5. Provision of minimum of 3 PV installation references <br />6. Continued good status with Pleasanton and Livermore customers <br />• Information on the individual photovoltaic contractors, including principals, <br />location and contact information, licenses and other qualifications, years of <br />experience, etc. <br />• A document with tips on selecting a PV contractor (e.g. obtaining a written <br />quote, checking at least 3 references, etc.) <br />• An evaluation form will be developed allowing the homeowner to evaluate <br />the entire process, particularly the installation phase. This list will be <br />made public to help future customers and provide feedback to the <br />installer. <br />Note: This list is not all inclusive, additional items may be added if found to be <br />helpful to the consumer. <br />
