Ordinance No. 1967 <br />Page 3 <br />Section 5. Effective Date: Transitional Clause. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty <br />days after adoption as provided by Government Code Section 36937. However, any claim <br />that would have been timely if presented on the day before this Ordinance becomes effective <br />which claim would be untimely under the requirements of the this Ordinance may, <br />notwithstanding this Ordinance, be presented not later than the 45"' day after the adoption of <br />this Ordinance. <br />Section 6. Certification. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of <br />this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published according to law. <br />Section 7. A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) <br />days after its adoption in `The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation published in <br />the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen (15) days in the <br />City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. <br />Section 8. This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its passage and <br />adoption. <br />The foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the <br />City of Pleasanton on January 15, 2008 by the following vote. <br />Ayes: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />Jennifer Hosterman, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Karen Diaz, City Clerk <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />Michael H.
