CONTRACT FOR SURVEYING SERVICES <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this 17th day of <br />February, 1987, by and between the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a <br />municipal corporation (hereinafter referred to as "City"), and <br />ALEXANDER & ASSOCIATES, INC., (hereafter referred to as <br />"Surveyor"). <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> A. Surveyor is qualified to provide, and experienced in <br />providing, surveying services and has offered his services for <br />the purposes specified in this Agreement. <br /> <br /> B. In the judgment of the City, it is necessary and <br />advisable to employ the services of Surveyor for the purpose of <br />undertaking his surveying services. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants, <br />agreements and conditions contained herein, City and Surveyor <br />agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Surveyor's Services. Surveyor shall diligently perform <br />the services and furnish the materials, reports, maps, and so <br />forth as hereinafter set forth: <br /> <br /> a. Surveyor shall perform all work described in the Exhibit <br /> A, Scope of Work, attached hereto and incorporated <br /> herein by this reference. <br /> <br /> b. Surveyor shall meet with the technical staff of the <br /> City, other pertinent agencies, and/or landowners as <br /> necessary to complete the scope of work outlined in <br /> Section l(a) herein. <br /> <br /> 2. City Services. In order to assist Surveyor in this <br />Contract, City shall allow Surveyor to research existing plans of <br />the area on file, and provide any necessary direction and plan <br />checking within a reasonable time. <br /> <br /> 3. Sufficiency of Surveyor's Work. Surveyor agrees that all <br />maps, and field notes prepared for City shall be adequate and <br />sufficient to meet the purposes for which they are performed. <br /> <br /> - 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
