CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-65 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION SELECTING SITE ONE AS PREFERRED SITE FOR <br /> SYCAMORE RESERVOIR AND AMENDING CONTRACT WITH CH2M HILL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the Master Water Plan Report prepared in <br /> November of 1985, completion of the Sycamore Reservoir <br /> is a very high priority; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in May of 1986, CH2M Hill recommended certain sites and <br /> Mr. Victor Lund expressed concerns that the City's <br /> consultant had not given thorough consideration to all <br /> the alternative sites; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in November of 1986, CH2M Hill submitted their <br /> evaluation of the three additional sites; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of February 17, 1987, the Director of <br /> Public Works and Utilities presented his report (SR <br /> 87:62) to the Council with all the relevant material <br /> concerning the proposed reservoir; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Council approves Site No. 1 as the preferred site for <br /> locating the proposed 8 million gallon Sycamore <br /> Reservoir; Site No. 1 being the site as described in and <br /> shown in the "Sycamore Reservoir and Transmission <br /> Pipeline Predesign Study" report prepared by CH2M Hill, <br /> Inc. dated June of 1986 as amended November of 1986. <br /> <br />Section 2: Directs staff to begin negotiations immediately for <br /> the acquisition of Site No. 1 and necessary easements <br /> for the Transmission Pipeline, access road, and overflow <br /> pipeline associated with this facility. <br /> <br />Section 3: Approves Amendment No. 2 to CH2M Hill, Inc.'s <br /> contract authorizing a maximum expenditure of $428,600 <br /> for design and construction management services for the <br /> Sycamore Reservoir and Transmission Pipeline. <br /> <br /> <br />
