MINUTES <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />December 18, 2007 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Hosterman called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Councilmember Cook-Kallio led the <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Introductory Comments <br />Councilmember Cook-Kallio noted that City offices will be closed on December 24 and 25, 2007 <br />and on January 1, 2008; Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department will collect Toys for Tots <br />through December at all fire and police stations; the City's Leaf Pickup Program is underway <br />and continues through mid-January. <br />Roll Call <br />Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Absent: None <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS -None <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Mayor & City Council <br />1. Adopted Resolution No. 07-157 appointing Jerry Thorne as Vice Mayor for calendar year <br />2008 and Resolution No. 07-160 approving appointments of Councilmembers to local <br />and regional boards, commissions and committees <br />Finance <br />2. Adopted Resolution No. 07-161 accepting the Fiscal Year 2007-08 First Quarter Financial <br />Report and amending the Fiscal Year 2007-08 General Fund Operating Budget and the <br />2007-08 Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Special Revenue Fund <br />3. Public Hearing -Adopted Resolution No. 07-162 accepting the Pleasanton Downtown <br />Business Improvement District Advisory Board Report and Budget and Levy of the <br />Assessment for 2008 <br />Parks and Community Services <br />4. Awarded and authorized the City Manager to execute a contract to Freitas Rangeland <br />Improvements in the amount of $147,680 for design and construction of Solar Powered <br />Water Pumping System for Cattle Troughs at the South End Conservation Area of Callippe <br />Preserve Golf Course, Project No. 078037, and approve a Grazing Lease with Tim <br />Koopman; and authorized the transfer of $12,450 to this project from the General Fund to <br />cover any contingency costs <br />5. Ratified a consultant contract with RRM Design Group, Inc., in the amount of $59,000 to <br />develop a Master Plan for Staples Ranch Community Park <br />
