The following items have either been simplified, reduced in size or eliminated and they are as follows: a) Simplified fencing configuration b) Removed trellis at the front door (southerly elevation) and added trees for shade. c) Curved trellis along the western elevation, changed to a rectangular trellis d) Eliminated gazebo e) Eliminated the web climber f) Eliminated the wood bridge between the swing area and mud zone g) Reduced the berm and reduced the grass area h) Simplified the story circle area i) Eliminated the light pole As a result of the above items, our detailing for the play components won't be as intensive or lengthy. Based on the above modifications, the estimated construction budget is $326,000 After the two public meetings that we will attend and the final master, we can then proceed with the construction documents. Once we receive authorization, it will take us approximately 3 months to complete those documents. During this documentation period, the city will have two opportunities to review the progress at the 50% and 90% detail design. Once the construction documents are 100% completed, they can be put out for bid which generally takes 3-4 weeks. I spoke with Mike Fulford and it is his opinion that the play area can be constructed within 3 months which is less than I originally had said. Once we receive authorization to proceed on the contract documents, we can put together a final schedule with specific milestones and deliverables. SERVICES: Refer to the attached EXHIBIT A for scope of services. COMPENSATION: For the above professional services the Landscape Architect shall be paid as follows: 1. Landscape Architectural Fee: Lump sum of $ 40,000 tf.'.
