CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-95 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION SELECTING PERMANENT NAMES FOR FOUR CITY PARKS <br /> (NIELSEN PARK, SUTTER GATE PARK, DEL PRADO PARK AND <br /> MEADOWS PARK) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of March 3, 1987, Council received the <br /> report of the Director of Parks and Community Services <br /> (SR 87:98) regarding the selection process and the <br /> proposed names for four City parks; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Council hereby selects the permanent names for the <br /> following described parks: <br /> <br /> a. Nielsen Park, an undeveloped 5 acre neighborhood <br /> park located south of Stoneridge Drive and north of <br /> the terminus of Oakland Avenue. (Temporary name was <br /> Oakland/Trenery Park) <br /> <br /> b. Sutter Gate Park, an undeveloped 2.7 acre parcel of <br /> parkland located north of Sutter Gate, south of the <br /> Arroyo Mocho and extending behind the residential <br /> area to Santa Rita Road. (Temporary name was Sutter <br /> Gate Greenbelt Park) <br /> <br /> c. Del Prado Park, an undeveloped 5 acre neighborhood <br /> park located north of Hansen, east of Paseo Santa <br /> Cruz, and west of Calle de la Mesa. (Temporary name <br /> was Santa Cruz Park) <br /> <br /> d. Meadows Park, a 2.2 acre neighborhood park located <br /> immediately east and north of the present terminus <br /> of West Las Positas Boulevard. (Temporary name was <br /> West Las Positas Park) <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
