It is not our place as humans to domesticate all animals. It is a wild bird and needs to be <br />free. It is part of an ecological system and serves a purpose in the chain of life. Yes, there are some people who <br />keep wild animals. Mainly because they have been rescued either from zoo's or abused or some other <br />unfortunate occurrence. These are animals that need our help. A lot of times when they are well they are let <br />back into the wild. The notice of the Public Hearing does not even mention the reason why she wants to keep a <br />red-tail hawk in her backyard. If it is maimed or ill in any way she should contact the Lindsay Wildlife Museum <br />where they can properly take care of it. Otherwise, I am totally repulsed by even the mere suggestion of trying to <br />keep a wild animal as a pet. Please don't pass this proposal as it is extremely inhumane.
