CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-94 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AP-87-1, APPEAL OF A DECISION OF <br /> THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD APPROVING THE MODIFIED <br /> APPLICATION OF C. J. HINKSTON FOR DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL <br /> TO CONSTRUCT AN AUTOMOBILE RENTAL/SALES FACILITY ON AN <br /> APPROXIMATELY 0.8 ACRE SITE LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST <br /> CORNER OF ROSEWOOD DRIVE AND OLD SANTA RITA ROAD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, C. J. Hinkston submitted a modified application for <br /> design review approval to construct an automobile <br /> rental/sales facility on an approximately 0.8 acre site <br /> located at the southeast corner of Rosewood Drive and <br /> Old Santa Rita Road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on January 28, 1987, the Design Review Board approved <br /> the application subject to certain conditions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, within the time specified by the Pleasanton Municipal <br /> Code, the applicant submitted an appeal to the City <br /> Clerk of the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held before the City <br /> Council on March 3, 1987 at which time the applicant and <br /> any other member of the public was offered an <br /> opportunity to present testimony and documents regarding <br /> this appeal; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves Case Z-87-1, application of C. J. Hinkston <br /> for design review approval for an automobile <br /> rental/sales facility on an approximately 0.8 acre site <br /> located at the southeast corner of Rosewood Drive and <br /> Old Santa Rita Road, subject to the conditions of Design <br /> Review Board Resolution DRB-87-08 with the following <br /> modifications: <br /> <br /> a. deleting the condition requiring the developer to <br /> reimburse CPS for street frontage improvements <br /> along the Old Santa Rita Road frontage of the site. <br /> <br /> b. allowing a 20 foot high pylon type sign for a <br /> period of three years, after which time it must be <br /> removed and replaced with an approximately seven <br /> foot (7') high monument sign. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
