Can staff clarify this in the staff presentation and provide a written response? When I google this, it says that
this turned into a disaster because domestic animals were being attacked by the hawks?
3. The staff report indicates that the animal in December 2005 was trapped with the appropriate state and
federal license. I do not see a license going back that covers the December 2005 timeframe. Can the
commission have a copy of the license for trapping?
4. Dog leash laws require animals that are dogs that are outside the perimeter of the property owner to be on
leashes. The Municipal Code in Pleasanton says fowls and rabbits are not allowed to roam free outside the
property boundaries of thw owner.
Can staff clarify this in relation to the hawk?
5. Can staff clarify whether there is hunting or not? The background materials indicate that live animals (quail)
are being killed by the bird, etc. Also, there are materials regarding the use of a dog to flush rabbits out of
bushes to then be the prey for the hawk. Is this not hunting? Please clarify in the staff presentation and in a
written response.
6. What is the source of Exhibit F? Who wrote this?
Thanks
Anne Fox
12/12/2007
