City of Pleasanton
Proposal For An
Affirmative Action Plan Project

Biddle & Associates

Biddle & Associates specializes solely in equal emplolnnent
opportunity and affirmative action matters. For over fourteen
years we llave provided these services, and only the'se services,
to employers. We have t!loroughly researched all. requirements for
affirmative action plan development and have incorporated each
into an organized, systematic methodology. This methodology has
successfully passed all compliance reviews to which it has been
subjected. Affirmative action plans developed or updated using
cur metl~udology have been revie~.:e~ and accepted by 'tile Office of
Federal Contract Compliance Prograins and the Office of Revenue
Sharing. Our method works, can be easily learned and easily
maintained.

Proj_ect Objectives ..

Biddle & Associates' Affirmative Action Plan projects have three
objectives:

1. To instruct the employer through l~ands-on learninq
experience how to develop and maintain a
compliance-based Affirmative Action Plan that is
accurate, reasonable and realistic.'

2. To insure that tile project results in a comp=l__e._t._e
product, not theories, ideas, or unused techniques.

3. To insure that the employer can easily maintain and
update the Affirmative Action Plan.

Inaccurately developed Affirmative Action Plans create
liabilities for the emp].oyer far beyond the simple failure to
reach goals. The liabilities occur because affirmative action is
not separable from equal emplo!nnent opportunity -- the area in
which most discrimination suits occur- Eq~al employment
opportunity and affirmative action are inextr.~cably intertwined.
EQL)AL EMPLOYMENT O['PORTUNrFY
* Cun-;uking · Training ., Comntuer P,'o.qrams · Avaib. bi',.ly Data "S,?lcctiol~ [>rt,ccdt~res
