RESOLUTION NO. 07 -163 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />APPROVING A WATER SUPPLY ASSESSMENT FOR THE PROPOSED <br />STONERIDGE DRIVE SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT AND STAPLES RANCH <br />PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City in 1989 adopted the Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan encompassing <br />a 293 -acre area which included the Staples Ranch Project site; and <br />WHEREAS, Under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and State Water <br />Code (Section 10910(g)(1)), the City is required to prepare and approve a Water Supply <br />Assessment (WSA) for the Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan Amendment and Staples Ranch <br />Project's cumulative water supply demands; and <br />WHEREAS, WSA is an informational document required to be prepared under CEQA for <br />assessing the adequacy of water supplies; and <br />WHEREAS, a WSA must be approved by the City Council as the governing body of the <br />City's Public Works and Utilities Department, which is the public water supplier that would serve <br />the Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the WSA prepared for the development concluded that the City has <br />adequate water supplies through Zone 7 Water Agency and City's own groundwater supplies to <br />meet the Project's water demands through 2030. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br />SECTION 1. Approves and adopts the Water Supply Assessment (WSA) for the <br />proposed Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan Amendment and Staples Ranch Project, attached to <br />this Resolution as Exhibit A, pursuant to the State of California Water Code. <br />SECTION 2.
