CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-43 <br /> <br /> AUTHORIZATION TO REMOVE A HERITAGE TREE AT THE ENTRANCE <br /> OF PLEASANTON CIVIC CENTER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in conjunction with the new Pleasanton Library Project, <br /> staff proposes to modify the civic center driveway, <br /> which would require the removal of the tree located <br /> immediately to the west of the existing driveway; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, because the tree qualifies as a "heritage tree," it is <br /> necessary to have a permit to remove it; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of February 3, 1987, the City Council <br /> considered the recommendation of staff; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Council approves the recommendation of staff to <br /> remove the Black Walnut tree located immediately west of <br /> the driveway approach to the Pleasanton Civic Center. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED FEBRUARY 3, 1987 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None t~./j~ <br />ABSTAIN: None ~~ <br />ATTEST: . <br /> KENNETH R.
