1. Amount of contribution limit (e.g. $250, $300, or some other amount); <br />2. Election period during which limit would be in force; and <br />3. Whether to apply the limit to an Independent Expenditure Committee <br />making a contribution to a candidate or candidate's committee. <br />A voluntary campaign expenditure limit pledge may also be pursued. If considered, the <br />City Council should advise staff: <br />(a) Amount of the expenditure limit (e.g. $1 per registered voter, or some <br />other amount); <br />(b) Whether and how to notify the public about which candidates took the <br />pledge; and <br />(c) Whether the City should try to monitor compliance. <br />Finally, if a new campaign contribution reporting threshold is considered, the City <br />Council should advise staff: <br />I.
