The proposed rental fee for Pleasanton Tennis & Community Park Tennis Complex is <br />consistent with other fees proposed for the complex with resident fees quite <br />reasonable. <br /> <br /> FEES <br /> <br />A. DEPARTMENT GENERAL FEES <br /> <br /> Definition <br /> <br /> a. Refund Service Fee: Refunds are not granted if requested later than three (3) <br /> working days prior to the first class meeting, and will incur a $5.00 service <br /> charge. Full refunds will be given for any classes cancelled by the <br /> Department. NOTE: Aquatic Program refunds are restricted to special <br /> circumstances only. <br /> <br /> b. Non-resident: A non-resident is any client not residing within the City <br /> limits of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> c. Late Fee: Registration is considered late if completed after the fifth <br /> working day prior to the day a class begins. (Day class begins is consided <br /> one of the five days) <br /> <br /> d. DEPARTMENT FEE CLASS <br /> <br /> The cost of fee classes is set to attempt to return the full cost of the instructor{s) <br /> and materials plus an additional 30% for program supervision and office support. <br /> <br /> Fee class instructors are paid either hourly or on a contractual basis as determined by <br /> department staff and instructor. Entering into a contract for program service often <br /> allows the flexibility needed to provide a program. A copy of the contract is attached <br /> for information and approval. (Attachment A) The Recreation Supervisor in charge of <br /> the fee classes negotiates the contract. <br /> <br /> Definition <br /> <br /> a. Unit of Measure: The unit/hour cost is computed by determining the total <br /> number of class hours, the number of class participants, and dividing the <br /> total cost of the class per individual by this number. <br /> <br /> <br />
