PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 1558 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL THE APPROVAL <br />OF A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR GP-77-3 and RZ-77-10, <br />PLEASANTON RESIDENTIAL ALLOCATION PROGRAM. <br />WHEREAS, The City of Pleasanton has proposed to adopted a "Community <br />Development Element" to the General Plan of the City of <br />Pleasanton containing the goals and policies of the City <br />of Pleasanton related to new development with particular <br />emphasis on new residential development and to adopt an <br />implementing "Residential Allocation Ordinance" setting <br />forth the criteria governing future residential development <br />in Pleasanton; and <br />WHEREAS, in conjunction with this review an environmental assessment <br />in the form of an Initial Study for the proposed amendment <br />has been conducted; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, on September 14, 1977, reviewed the <br />potential environmental impacts associated with this proposed <br />land use amendment as identified in the Initial Study; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this matter <br />on September 14, 1977, at which time an opportunity was <br />given to hear public testimony on the potential environmental <br />impacts of the proposed amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />guidelines and processing procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects in preparation of environmental impact reports as <br />they pertain to the requirements of negative declarations <br />and environmental impact reports to determine if a negative <br />declaration is appropriate and what mitigation measures must <br />be undertaken to insure that the project will not have a <br />significant effect upon the environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission finds that the project will not <br />have an adverse effect on the environment and recommends that <br />a negative declaration be prepared. <br />- Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br />-1- <br />
