PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION N0. 1558 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL THE APPROVAL OF A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR GP-77-3 and RZ-77-10, PLEASANTON RESIDENTIAL ALLOCATION PROGRAM. WHEREAS, The City of Pleasanton has proposed to adopted a "Community Development Element" to the General Plan of the City of Pleasanton containing the goals and policies of the City of Pleasanton related to new development with particular emphasis on new residential development and to adopt an implementing "Residential Allocation Ordinance" setting forth the criteria governing future residential development in Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, in conjunction with this review an environmental assessment in the form of an Initial Study for the proposed amendment has been conducted; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, on September 14, 1977, reviewed the potential environmental impacts associated with this proposed land use amendment as identified in the Initial Study; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this matter on September 14, 1977, at which time an opportunity was given to hear public testimony on the potential environmental impacts of the proposed amendment; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's guidelines and processing procedures for the evaluation of projects in preparation of environmental impact reports as they pertain to the requirements of negative declarations and environmental impact reports to determine if a negative declaration is appropriate and what mitigation measures must be undertaken to insure that the project will not have a significant effect upon the environment. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Planning Commission finds that the project will not have an adverse effect on the environment and recommends that a negative declaration be prepared. - Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. -1-
