PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1568 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON MAKING THE FINDING THAT THE PROJECT <br />FILED UNDER TENTATIVE MAP TRACT 3858 WILL NOT HAVE <br />A SIGNIFICANT EFFECT ON THE ENVIRONMENT. <br />WHEREAS, Frank Aufdermaur has filed for approval of Tentative Tract <br />Map 3858 which would create seven lots on an approximately <br />73-acre site immediately east of the existing A & R Service <br />Center on Stanley Boulevard; and <br />WHEREAS, the zoning for the property is C-S (Commercial Service) <br />District; and <br />WHEREAS, in conjunction with this review, an environmental assess- <br />ment in the form of an Initial Study for the project has <br />been conducted; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, on September 14, 1977, reviewed <br />the potential environmental impacts associated with this <br />project and identified in the Initial Study; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed comments presented by the <br />Planning Staff that a mitigated negative declaration should <br />be prepared; and <br />WHEREAS, the three major concerns requiring mitigation include a) <br />overall circulation pattern; b) traffic circulation at the <br />intersection of Stanley Boulevard and California Avenue; <br />and c) the impacts resulting from the filling of 63+ acres <br />of former brickyard and quarry; and <br />WHEREAS, staff is recommending that the conditions set forth in the <br />staff report dated September 14, 1977 as proposed conditions <br />on the tentative map be adopted as mitigation measures; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at their September 14, 1977 meeting, <br />held a public hearing to receive testimony on the potential <br />environmental impact of the proposed project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />guidelines and processing procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and preparation of environmental impact reports as <br />they pertain to the requirements of negative declarations and <br />-1- <br />
