PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 1568 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON MAKING THE FINDING THAT THE PROJECT FILED UNDER TENTATIVE MAP TRACT 3858 WILL NOT HAVE A SIGNIFICANT EFFECT ON THE ENVIRONMENT. WHEREAS, Frank Aufdermaur has filed for approval of Tentative Tract Map 3858 which would create seven lots on an approximately 73-acre site immediately east of the existing A & R Service Center on Stanley Boulevard; and WHEREAS, the zoning for the property is C-S (Commercial Service) District; and WHEREAS, in conjunction with this review, an environmental assess- ment in the form of an Initial Study for the project has been conducted; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, on September 14, 1977, reviewed the potential environmental impacts associated with this project and identified in the Initial Study; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed comments presented by the Planning Staff that a mitigated negative declaration should be prepared; and WHEREAS, the three major concerns requiring mitigation include a) overall circulation pattern; b) traffic circulation at the intersection of Stanley Boulevard and California Avenue; and c) the impacts resulting from the filling of 63+ acres of former brickyard and quarry; and WHEREAS, staff is recommending that the conditions set forth in the staff report dated September 14, 1977 as proposed conditions on the tentative map be adopted as mitigation measures; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at their September 14, 1977 meeting, held a public hearing to receive testimony on the potential environmental impact of the proposed project; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's guidelines and processing procedures for the evaluation of projects and preparation of environmental impact reports as they pertain to the requirements of negative declarations and -1-
