PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 1576 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DENYING THE APPLICATION OF RODNEY COWIN TO ALLOW THE OPERATION OF A VENDING MACHINE BUSINESS FROM HIS RESIDENCE AT 3855 MESA VERDE COURT. WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City that Rodney Cowin is currently running a vending machine service from his home at 3855 Mesa Verde Court; and WHEREAS, the City became aware of the situation through complaints received from the neighbors; and WHEREAS, the complaints indicated that Mr. Cowin was sorting vending machines in a trailer parked in the street in front of his home or on his driveway; and it was discovered that there was a large number of vending machines stored in the garage as well as in the front yard setback; and WHEREAS, the City had several contracts with Mr. Cowin regarding this situation, resulting in Mr. Cowin applying for a home occu- pation permit; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on October 12, 1977, at which time pertinent documents, testimony, and reports were reviewed. NOW, THEREFORE, the Planning Commission resolves the following: Section 1. The Planning Commission finds that the manner in which the applicant wishes to conduct the home occupation - that being storage of the machines in the garage - would preclude use of the garage for storage of automobiles and would place the home occupation in violation of Section 2-10.17 of the home occupation and for this reason denies this ordinance. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton -1-
