PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1577 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPTION <br />OF AN AMENDMENT TO ALLOW WATERBED SALES AS A PERMITTED <br />USE IN CERTAIN COMMERCIAL DISTRICTS. <br />WHEREAS, a request was received to establish a business consisting <br />of the sale of waterbeds in the C-N zoning district; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at their September 14, 1977, meeting <br />initiated an ordinance amendment to allow or conditionally <br />allow waterbed sales in certain commercial districts; and <br />WHEREAS, at a public hearing on October 12, 1977, the Planning Com- <br />mission reviewed a draft ordinance, which would amend the <br />sections of the Ordinance Code to effectuate the changes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton recom- <br />mends to the City Council the adoption of an ordinance <br />amendment to allow sale of waterbeds and small accessories <br />as defined in the draft ordinance attached hereto and <br />incorporated by reference herein, in the C-N, C-C and <br />C-R Districts. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Pleasanton on the 12th day of October, 1977, by the following <br />vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Shepherd, Wood, Chairman Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />ATTEST: Secretary Harris <br />DATE: October 12, 1977 <br />ATTEST: <br />Robert J.
