PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 1588 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON MAKING THE FINDING THAT THE PROJECT FILED <br />UNDER GP-77-5, WILL NOT HAVE A SIGNIFICANT EFFECT ON <br />THE ENVIRONMENT. <br />WHEREAS, Lee Slaughter has applied for a general plan amendment which <br />would change the land use designation of a 3.8 acre parcel <br />of land located along the west side of the S.P.R. R., begin- <br />nining at the intersection of Santa Rita Road and the S.P.R.R. <br />(near Sutter Gate Avenue), and extending about 1,500 feet <br />south from "Open Space-Public Health and Safety" to "General <br />and Limited Industrial"; and <br />WHEREAS, in conjunction with this review an environmental assessment <br />in the form of an Initial Study for the project has been <br />conducted; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on November 9, 1977, reviewed the <br />potential environmental impacts associated with this project <br />and identified in the Initial Study; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at their November 9, 1977 meeting, <br />held a public hearing to receive testimony on the potential <br />environmental impact of the proposed project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />guidelines and processing procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and preparation of environmental impact reports as <br />they pertain to the requirements of negative declarations and <br />environmental impact reports to determine if a negative <br />declaration is appropriate. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission finds that the project will not <br />have any significant adverse effects on the environment and <br />that a negative declaration will be prepared. <br />Section 2.
