PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF PLEASANTON
COUNTY OF ALAMEDA
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION NO. 1592
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
PLEASANTON APPROVING DESIGN PLANS FOR EXPANSION OF EX-
ISTING CITY HALL AT 200 BERNAL AVENUE, APPLICATION FILED
UNDER Z-77-164.
WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied for design review approval
to expand the existing facility at 200 Bernal Avenue by
adding offices and a community meeting room/Council Chamber,
and
WHEREAS, zoning for the property is P (Public and Institutional) and
C-O (Civic Overlay) Districts; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on November 9, 1977, at which time
all pertinent maps, drawings, documents and reports were
reviewed.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Planning Commission recommends to the City Council
adoption of Z-77-164, subject to the following conditions:
1. That the development be substantially as shown on the
site plan, elevations and perspective, Exhibit A, on
file with the Planning Department.
2. That the street number of the building be posted so as
to be easily seen from the street at all times, day and
night.
3. That all ducts, meters, air conditioning equipment, and
any other mechanical equipment, whether on the structure,
on the ground, or elsewhere, be effectively screened from
view with materials architecturally compatible with the
main structure.
4. That all mechanical equipment be constructed in such a
manner that noise emanating from it will not be percep-
tible at or beyond the property plane of the subject
property in a normal environment for that zoning district.
5. That all lighting be constructed in such a manner that
glare is directed away from surrounding properties and
rights-of-way.
-1-
