PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 1597 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR GARDEN-WEST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FILED UNDER UP-77-25. WHEREAS, Norman Zimmerman has filed for a conditional use permit on behalf of Carden-West Elementary School to operate a private elementary school at the Trinity Lutheran Church facilities at 1225 Hopyard Road; and WHEREAS, zoning for the property is P (Public and Institutional) District; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on this application on December 14, 1977, when all pertinent maps, drawings, documents and reports were reviewed; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found: A. That the proposed location of the conditional use is an existing church in the P District and is in accord with the objectives of this chapter and the purposes of the district in which the site is located. B. That the proposed location of the conditional use and the conditions under which it would be operated or maintained will not be detrimental to the public health, safety, or welfare or be materially injurious to pro- perties or improvements in the vicinity. C. That the proposed conditional use will comply with each of the applicable provisions of this chapter. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Planning Commission approves UP-77-25, subject to the following conditions: 1. That the school be conducted as described in the Purpose and Operational Details sheets attached hereto. 2. That this use permit shall expire September 1, 1978, and that if the applicant wishes to continue operation on the Trinity Church site, he apply for a new use permit at that time. The applicant should be aware ~' that the City will probably require certain facilities normally associated with a school, such as play equip- ment, fencing, etc., at that time. -1-
