CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-30 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION CLARIFYING CITY POLICY REGARDING PG&E <br /> TRANSMISSION LINE ROUTE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of October 28, 1986, Council adopted a <br /> resolution protesting PG&E's application to the PUC and <br /> requesting that additional analysis be conducted <br /> regarding the undergrounding of Route R3 along the Wente <br /> property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, concerns have been raised by landowners potentially <br /> affected by PG&E's alternative route R1; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Council hereby clarifies the City's first choice for <br /> the PG&E transmission line is Route 3 with additional <br /> undergrounding; the City's second choice is Route R3 as <br /> proposed; the City's third choice is Route R1 with <br /> additional undergrounding; and the R1 Route, as <br /> currently proposed, is completely unacceptable to the <br /> City. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JANUARY 20, 1987 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Wilson ~ <br />ABSTAIN: None ~/R. <br />ATTEST: <br /> KENNET .
