PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1404 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING AN AMENDMENT TO THE <br />ZONING ORDINANCE REGARDING 354 ACRES BETWEEN <br />HOPYARD ROAD AND THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD <br />TRACTS. BEGINNING APPROXIMATELY 1,500 FEET <br />SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 580, TO THE CITY COUNCIL. <br />WHEREAS, the applicant, Willow West, Inc., initiated a <br />zoning boundary amendment to rezone 354 acres located between <br />Hopyard Road and the Southern Pacific Railraod tracts beginning <br />approximately 1,500 feet south of Highway 580, from I-P (Indus- <br />trial Park), I-G (General Industrial), O (Office), C-S (Service <br />Commercial), C-F (Freeway Commercial), and A (Agricultural) to <br />I-G (General Industrial) I-L (Limited Industrial), 0 (Office), <br />C-F (Commercial Freeway) and PUD (Planned Unit Development); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has prepared and submitted an <br />Environmental Impact Report on the rezoning; and <br />WHEREAS, following the EIR, the applicant has modified his <br />request so as to make those areas requested to be PUD to be C-F <br />and <br />WHEREAS, this is not a substantial change requiring the <br />amending of the EIR; and <br />WHEREAS, the planning staff recommended several modifications <br />to the proposal placing the entire 43.5 acres proposed for C-F <br />by applicant a PUD (Planned Unit Development) district; place <br />the 12 acres requested to be in the O (Office) district in a <br />S (Study) district and the 16-1/2 acres proposed as I-L as L-I <br />,(Light Industrial) district; and <br />I', WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on <br />April 14, 1976, and heard testimony from those favoring and <br />opposing the rezoning. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The rezoning proposed by the applicant shall <br />be recommended to the City Council with certain modifications <br />so that the various districts in the rezoning shall consist of <br />
