PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF PLEASANTON
COUNTY OF ALAMEDA
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION NO. 1444
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING TO THE
CITY COUNCIL THE DENIAL OF GP-76-3.
WHEREAS, the City Council has initiated an amendment to the
General Plan to change the land use designation for
land located on the south side of Vineyard Avenue
between Adams Way and Mavis Drive from High Density
Residential to Medium Density Residential; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing
on this application and has reviewed documents,
maps and testimony.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Planning Commission reports to the City Council
that it does not believe the rezoning of the Vineyard
Avenue area to a lower density in general or the
general planning and rezoning of the subject property
to a lower density, in particular, will solve the
traffic problems in the Vineyard Avenue area, and
therefore, recommends that the proposed general plan
amendment be denied.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of
Pleasanton on the 8th day of September, 1976, by the following
vote:
AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Shepherd, Wood and
Chairman Butler
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
ATTEST: Secretary Harris
