PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1447 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL <br />THE DENIAL OF RZ-76-9. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, at its July 26, 1976, meeting was <br />asked by Mr. Frank Louthan to consider amending the <br />Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton to allow the <br />establishment of automatic automobile washing facilities <br />in the C-C (Central Commercial) District; and <br />WHEREAS, this matter was referred to the Planning Commission for <br />their consideration; and <br />IWHEREAS, the Planning Commission scheduled a hearing on <br />September 8, 1976, at which time pertinent maps, <br />drawings, photographs and testimony were reviewed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission recommends to the City Council <br />that this amendment be denied because such a use in the <br />C-C District, particularly as it applies to Main Street, <br />would not be compatible with the City's future plans <br />for development of the Central Business District, <br />because there is abundant vacant land in the City <br />already zoned to accommodate this type of use; and <br />because the amendment would not be consistent with the <br />objectives of the Zoning Code. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Pleasanton on the 8th day of September, 1976, by the <br />
