PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF PLEASANTON
COUNTY OF ALAMEDA
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION NO. 1460
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY
COUNCIL THE ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE PREZONING
PROPERTY CONTAINED WITHIN ANNEXATION NO. 71
AND FILED UNDER RZ-76-17.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton has
initiated an ordinance to prezone approximately 16.4
acres of unincorporated county territory located on the
east side of Santa Rita Road between Highway 580 and
a point approximately 700 feet north of the inter-
section of Santa Rita Road and Tassajara Road, con-
stituting Annexation No. 71; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of staff that at the time
that this property is annexed to the City that its
zoning be C-S (Commercial Service) District; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on
November 3, 1976 on this matter and reviewed perti-
nent maps, drawings and documents, and made the
following findings:
1. That at the time the General Plan was studied, it
was concluded that the subject property should
be devoted to commercial service land uses because
many of the existing uses are either permitted
or conditionally permitted uses in the C-S District
and prezoning to this zoning district would create
a limited number of nonconforming uses.
2. That this area is across Santa Rita Road from a
developing commercial service area within the City
and it would be desirable to concentrate these
types of uses in the vicinity.
