PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1.462 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY <br />COUNCIL THE ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDMENT <br />TO CONDITIONALLY ALLOW CHURCHES AND OTHER <br />RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS AND PUBLIC AND PRIVATE <br />SCHOOLS IN THE I-G (GENERAL INDUSTRIAL) DISTRICT. <br />fHEREAS, the Planning Commission initiated an amendment to <br />Sec. 2-7.21, Article 9, Chapter 2, Title II of the <br />Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton which would <br />allow "churches and other religious institutions" and <br />"public and private schools" as conditional uses in the <br />I-G (General Industrial) District; and <br />HEREAS, a public hearing on this application was held and <br />pertinent documents and testimony was reviewed, and <br />the following findings made: <br />A. That the presence of churches in an industrial <br />district would not necessarily conflict with <br />industrial uses with regard to traffic generation; <br />B. That schools as an ancillary use associated with <br />churches can be appropriate; <br />C. That sheltered workshops may be beneficial in <br />an industrial zoned area. <br />OW, THEREFORE, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />esolves as follows: <br />ection 1. The Planning Commission recommends to the City Council <br />that an amendment to the zoning chapter be adopted <br />which conditionally allows churches, convents, <br />monasteries, parish homes and other religious <br />
