CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-22 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION DECLARING A PORTION OF SANTA RITA ROAD AS <br /> SURPLUS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has an undetermined interest in a small parcel <br /> of land, which was used as a portion of Santa Rita Road <br /> and which is no longer needed for street right-of-way; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of January 20, 1987, the City. Council <br /> vacated the above-described parcel and staff recommends <br /> the property be declared as surplus and be offered for <br /> sale; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Declares the parcel of land described on Exhibit "A" <br /> attached hereto and incorporated herein by this <br /> reference as surplus. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City determines that the market value for a <br /> quitclaim of the property is $1.00. <br /> <br />Section 3: The City shall notify all agencies required by law to <br /> be given first opportunity to purchase surplus property. <br /> <br />Section 4: The City finds that the most appropriate development <br /> pattern for the area is for use as plottage to the <br /> adjacent parcel, provided that the owner of the adjacent <br /> parcel is willing to pay the fair market value as stated <br /> above. <br /> <br />Section 5: If no agency wishes to purchase the property, the <br /> City Manager is authorized to quitclaim the subject <br /> property to the adjacent property owner. <br /> <br /> <br />
