PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTOLd <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1484 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING TO THE <br />CITY COUNCIL THE ADOPTION OF THE ORDINANCE <br />AMENDMENT TO DESIGNATE TRADE SCHOOLS AS <br />CONDITIONALLY ALLOWED USES IN THE INDUSTRIAL <br />DISTRICTS. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, on December 6, 1976, considered a <br />zoning code amendment to include churches, schools and <br />sheltered workshops as conditionally allowed uses in <br />the I-G (General Industrial) District; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council also initiated an amendment to <br />designate trade schools as a conditionally allowed use <br />in the Industrial Districts; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on January <br />12, 1977, and reviewed pertinent reports and testimony; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the staff has studied this matter and has concluded that <br />since many different types of industrial trades can <br />be taught in trade schools, some of the activities. <br />which might take place in conjunction with such a use <br />could be out of character with the I-P and L-I Districts; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, for this reason, the staff recommended that only Sec. <br />2-7.21(2) be amended to include trade schools as a <br />conditionally allowed use in the I-G District. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Planning Commission recommends to the City <br />Council the adoption of an ordinance amendment to make <br />
