CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-19 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF TRI-VALLEY COMMUNITY <br /> TELEVISION CORPORATION FOR FUNDS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Cable TV Franchise Agreement requires Viacom to pay <br /> $55,000 to each of the four cities over a two year <br /> period for capital expenditures for local programming; <br /> and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, local programming for the Tri-Valley is to be <br /> coordinated by the Tri-Valley Community Television <br /> Corporation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Tri-Valley Community Television Corporation has <br /> requested each City to forward the $45,00 received to <br /> date to begin purchase of capital equipment needed for <br /> local television broadcasting; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Approves the transfer of $45,000 to the Tri-Valley <br /> Community Television Corporation for purchase of capital <br /> equipment. <br /> <br /> Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JANUARY 6, 1987 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None /~~ <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> ATTEST: ~'/ <br /> KENNETH R.
