PLANNING COMMISSION
City of Pleasanton
RESOLUTION N0. 1341
A resolution of the Planning Commission of the City
of Pleasanton, denying GP-75-2.
WHEREAS, the application of Spivak Properties for an amendment
to the Pleasanton General Plan from High Density Resi-
dential to Retail Buaineas and Offices for that
approximately five-acre parcel of land located imme-
diately east of Hopyard Road and north and east of
the Pleasanton First National Bank drive-in facility,
and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton has
held a public hearing on this application and has
examined pertinent maps, drawings and documents, and
has made the following findings:
1. That the City of Pleasanton may currently have an
overabundance of commercial and office uses.
2. That an amendment to the general plan to allow
commercial and office uses on the subject property
may further increase that overabundance to the extent
that existing commercial and office uses in the City
would be detrimentally affected and thus will not be
consistent with the General Plan.
3. That additional study is necessary to determine the
optimum amount of commercial and office land in the
City prior to the creation of additional commercial
land.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of the City of
Pleasanton hereby denies GP-75-2, as petitioned.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton on
the 14th day of May, 1975, by the following vote:
Ayes:
Noes:
Absent:
Abstain:
Attest:
Commissioners Butler, Doherty, Carrigan
and Chairman Wood
Commissioner Shepherd
Secretary Harris
Date: May 14, 1975
Attest`"Ll l
Robert J. arris, Secretary
I/
Wa t Wood, Chairman
