PLANNING COMMISSION City of Pleasanton RESOLUTION NO. 1342 A resolution of the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton recommending to the City Council the adoption of an ordinance to place that property encompassed by GP-75-2 in the S (Study) District. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at their meeting of May 14, 1975, did review the request of Spivak Properties to amend the general plan from High Density Residential to Retail Business and Offices for that approximately five-acre parcel of land located immediately east of Hopyard Road and north and east of the Pleasanton First National Bank drive-in facility, and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did examine pertinent maps, drawings and documents, and has made the finding that: 1. There may currently be an overabundance of commercial and office uses within the City. 2. An amendment to the plan to allow addi- tional commercial and office uses may further increase that overabundance to the extent that existing commercial and office uses in the City would be detrimentally affected. 3. That additional study is necessary to determine the optimum amount of commercial and office land in the City prior to the creation of additional commercial land. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton does hereby recommend to the City Council that the City Council adopt an interim zoning ordinance pursuasnt to Section 65858 of the Government Code placing said property in an S (Study) District so that this property may be reviewed in order to de- termine if a different zoning classification would provide a better use of said property.
