PLANNING, COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1364 <br />A resolution of the Planning Commission of <br />the City of Pleasanton recommending to the <br />City Council the denial of RZ-75-10. <br />WHEREAS, the application of the City Council for an <br />amendment to Sec. 2-7.08 a, Article 8, <br />Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code <br />of the City of Pleasanton to allow picture <br />frame shops as a permitted use in the C-S <br />(Commercial Service) District, has been <br />referred to the Planning Commission, and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Pleasanton has held a public hearing on <br />this application and has examined perti- <br />nent maps, drawings and documents, and has <br />made the following finding: <br />1. That picture framing shops would not <br />meet the special purposes of the C-S Dis- <br />trict, which are: <br />a) To provide appropriately located areas <br />for commercial uses having features that <br />are incompatible with the purposes of other <br />commercial districts, and <br />b) To provide sites for businesses that <br />typically are not found in shopping centers, <br />that usually have relatively large sites <br />providing off-street parking, and that <br />attract little or no pedestrian traffic. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission <br />does hereby recommend to the City Council <br />the denial of said ordinance amendment as <br />petitioned. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Pleasanton on the 13th day of August, 1975, <br />by the following vote: <br />Ayes: <br />Noes: <br />Absent: <br />Commissioner Butler and <br />Chairman Wood <br />Commissioner Shepherd <br />Commissioners Doherty and <br />Garrigan <br />Abstain: <br />Attest: <br />DATE: August 13, 1975 <br />Secretary Harris <br />ATTEST: <br />~ ~~~)~CI <br />Robert rris, Secretary Walt Wood, hairman <br />
