CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-08 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO LES MCDONALD <br /> CONSTRUCTION, FOR RESURFACING OF VARIOUS CITY STREETS, <br /> PROJECT NO. 86-27 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> resurfacing of various City streets, Project No. 86-27; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br /> regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on January 6, <br /> 1987; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Les McDonald Construction, in the amount of <br /> $142,829.40 was determined to be the lowest responsible <br /> bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br /> that the bid of Les McDonald Construction be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Les McDonald Construction, in the amount <br /> of $142,829.40, for resurfacing various City streets, <br /> Project No. 86-27, is hereby accepted by the City <br /> Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: Approves the inclusion of Alvord Way from Denker <br /> Drive to Herrin Way and Inglewood Drive from Denker <br /> Drive to Mason Street in the above-referenced contract. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with <br /> for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
