WHEREAS, members of the Planning Commission have received copies of the staff report, the environmental impact element and the General Plan documents and have reviewed the same; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at a special meeting held on February 4, 1976, considered testimony from the general public in regard to the adoption of said plan; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission specifically considered the environmental effects of the proposed General Plan as well as (mitigation measures related thereto, as more specifically set (forth in the environmental element of the General Plan. ' NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: I Section 1. Recommends to the City Council the adoption of the proposed General Plan for the City of Pleasanton. Section 2. The General Plan environmental element sets !forth the environmental effects of said plan and specifically provides for mitigation measures which will obviate many of the significant adverse effects that can be expected by the develop- ment of the City of Pleasanton in accordance with the proposed General Plan. Section 3. Recommends that the City Council authorize and direct the City staff to undertake the preparation of an imple- mentation program to effectuate the goals, objectives and policies set forth in said General Plan and especially devise a program for determining the appropriate method of allocating development within the community on a logical basis over a 20- year period proposed for the General Plan. -2-
