WHEREAS, members of the Planning Commission have received <br />copies of the staff report, the environmental impact element and <br />the General Plan documents and have reviewed the same; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at a special meeting held <br />on February 4, 1976, considered testimony from the general public <br />in regard to the adoption of said plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission specifically considered the <br />environmental effects of the proposed General Plan as well as <br />(mitigation measures related thereto, as more specifically set <br />(forth in the environmental element of the General Plan. <br />' NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />I Section 1. Recommends to the City Council the adoption of <br />the proposed General Plan for the City of Pleasanton. <br />Section 2. The General Plan environmental element sets <br />!forth the environmental effects of said plan and specifically <br />provides for mitigation measures which will obviate many of the <br />significant adverse effects that can be expected by the develop- <br />ment of the City of Pleasanton in accordance with the proposed <br />General Plan. <br />Section 3. Recommends that the City Council authorize and <br />direct the City staff to undertake the preparation of an imple- <br />mentation program to effectuate the goals, objectives and <br />policies set forth in said General Plan and especially devise a <br />program for determining the appropriate method of allocating <br />development within the community on a logical basis over a 20- <br />year period proposed for the General Plan. <br />-2- <br />
