C[ <br /> <br />December 10, 1986 PROPOSAL PR86053 <br /> <br />Director of Public Works <br />City of Pleasanton <br />Post Office Box 520 <br />Pleasanton, CA 94566-0802 <br /> <br />Attention: Mr. Carlos Villagran <br /> <br /> SUBJECT: Geotechnical Investigation and <br /> Construction Monitoring Services <br /> Proposed Operations Service Center <br /> Busch Road - Pleasanton, CA <br /> <br />Gentlemen: <br /> <br />In response to your November 26, 1986 Request for Proposal (RFP) <br />and pursuant to our Statement of Interest and Qualifications <br />dated December 9, 1986, we are pleased to submit this proposal to <br />provide geotechnical services regarding the subject project. <br /> <br /> PROJECT & SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> <br />We understand that a new Operations Service Center will be built <br />on a 17-acre site on Busch Road, east of Santa Rita Road. Based <br />on the Master Plan prepared by Ruth & Going, Architects, the <br />Center will consist of public works shops and vehicle storages, <br />warehouses, administration and common facilities, support <br />services building, auto wash and fueling facilities, fire <br />training tower facility, pistol range, animal shelter, surface <br />parking and other facilities. The parcel to be investigated is <br />presently vacant, unimproved and with thick vegetation cover. <br />The site surface is level and some 2 to 3 feet below the adjacent <br />Busch Road level. The site is in the vicinity of the existing <br />quarries in the area. The subject parcel may have been used as a <br />quarry in the past and then filled with hydraulic fill, as <br />customarily done in these situations. We are not aware of any <br />records to substantiate this information. <br /> <br /> <br />
